At AquaTerra Outdoors, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back to those who have sacrificed so much for our country. That’s why we are proud to support Spirit of a Hero, a remarkable organization dedicated to helping wounded veterans and their families. This year, we went above and beyond to support their efforts towards their annual gala, which was held on September 9th, and had the enchanting theme, “Cowboys and Angels”.
The Spirit of a Hero Gala is an event that embodies the spirit of gratitude and celebration. It’s a night filled with cocktails, music, photo opportunities, a live auction, and more. The event is a testament to the resilience of our wounded heroes and the incredible support they receive from their families and community. Prior to the event, AquaTerra Outdoors employees came together to raise funds, get items for the live/silent auction, and spread the word to their connections. Together we were able to raise $21K in tickets, items, and donations. We’re incredibly proud of our team for coming together to support such a worthy cause.
One of the highlights of this year’s gala was the presentation of the “Heart of a Hero” award. This award is given to an individual who has shared the Spirit of a Hero mission by spreading the word and encouraging support within their network. We are incredibly proud to share that our very own Tal Thevenot received this award. His commitment to making a difference in the lives of wounded veterans and their families is truly inspiring.
Spirit of a Hero hosts other inspiring events throughout the year. One of the most eagerly anticipated is the 12th Annual Spirit of a Hero Ride, scheduled for October 14th. This escorted ride kicks off at Strokers Dallas and ends at American Eagle Harley-Davidson, where the festivities begin at noon. The event promises an unforgettable experience, featuring a lively Beer Garden sponsored by Rusty Beagle Sports Grill, a mouthwatering BBQ cook-off sponsored by Radical Hospitality, exciting 50/50 draws, raffles, and the electrifying sounds of live rock music taking center stage. Looking ahead to 2024, be sure to keep an eye out for the Spirit of a Hero Golf Tournament, yet another fantastic opportunity to support this exceptional organization’s mission. We can’t wait to see what all SoaH accomplishes this year and hope to see you at the next gala!
